We’re so glad you’re here

Congratulations on taking that initial leap and booking your boudoir! Now that the hard part is over, just sit back, relax, and prepare for what we can guarantee will be an incredible and memorable experience.

This handbook will help ease your nerves and prepare you for your session by answering questions, sparking inspiration, and planting that fuzzy excitement that you’ll need lots of to shine during your shoot!

MEET YOUR HOSTS

let’s get to know each other, yeah?

Hey, I’m Maris. . .

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a camera in hand. Whether it was an old disposable Kodak, an iPad, or later on, a mirrorless, I’ve always been more occupied with capturing a moment than participating in it.

Through an interest for photography mixed with a passion for lingerie design, I found boudoir - and I haven’t looked back since.

Shooting boudoirs is one of the things I love most in life, which is why it means so much to me that you’ve trusted me with this intimate experience of self-discovery.

And she’s Kate!

yep, there’s two of us to help you through!

You’ve probably seen Kate in our work from promos, sessions, and events. Kate began with us as a loyal client that signed up for every event as soon as they were posted. When she started taking interest in assisting with lighting, posing, and socializing the crowd, we knew it was time to bring her onboard.

Kate is the one fine tuning all the details to make sure any event or session runs smoothly and we don’t know how we did things before she joined us!

A Look at the Timeline

First and foremost . . .

Arrival to your session is smooth and laid-back. We’ll get you a complimentary drink of choice while we go through your outfits and assist you in any struggles leading up to your shoot. We know those pre-shoot jitters can be a lot to handle, but take comfort in the fact that everything is guided!

Onto one of the best parts!

If you’ve added on hair and makeup services, we will then move you into the hands of one of our talented cosmetologists on site. At this point, just relax, chat, sip your drink, and take it all in as we finish up these last few details.

And we’re off!

Once you’re ready to go, we’ll put on your playlist of choice and walk you through an entirely guided boudoir experience. With stunning lighting and poses that are specific to your body type and personal preferences, we ensure that you will go home with the best possible product and memory of your time with us.

Preparation

Believe it or not, not all the work is done during the session. Before your shoot, we suggest a few small details be tended to in order to prepare you for the best possible outcome:

  • Be Organized: Have your outfits, props, and accessories clean and ready to go upon arrival.

  • Nails, Brows, and Additional Detail: If you’re someone that prefers to have their nails done or have other cosmetic tweaks such as waxing, dermaplaning, lashes, teeth whitening, etc., make sure to have everything done more than a day before your session. This will reduce redness or irritation on the day of your shoot.

  • Tight Clothing: Even though Photoshop is a help in this scenario, try to refrain from wearing tight-fitting clothing, undergarments, or hair-ties (on your wrists) the day of your session. This reduces the chance of red, uneven skin tones upon arrival.

  • Reach Out: As mentioned, our lines are always open for questions, concerns, or just general fears prior to your shoot. We’d rather talk you through any problems beforehand. We’re in this together!
